The Coaching Process

Understanding Your Context

Every engagement begins with a focused clarity call to understand the goals, needs, and circumstances of your school or organisation. If there is a good fit, a tailored engagement proposal is prepared with a clear timeline, session schedule, and milestones.

Terms are set out in a written agreement confirmed by both the organisation and the participating leader before work begins.

Prior to the initial session, the leader receives welcome materials including a short orientation video, a practical FAQ guide, and a pre-commencement reflection activity. This helps identify potential focus areas and ensures the first session is productive from the start.

The initial session (75mins) is longer than subsequent sessions, allowing time to understand the leader's context and desired outcomes, agree on a clear focus area, and establish a starting goal and action plan. This anchors the entire engagement.

Each session (60mins) reviews progress, explores challenges and strategies, and determines next steps. Between sessions, leaders complete a brief structured reflection check-in that surfaces emerging challenges and keeps the work focused and responsive. Session notes and any action planning resources are shared after every session.

The final session is a structured retrospective. The leader reflects on their journey, reviews evidence of shifts and progress, and identifies emerging goals for future development. A summary report is provided to the commissioning school or organisation, documenting time invested, overarching themes, and recommendations.

FOUNDATION

Focused support for a specific goal or challenge.

A three-month engagement for leaders working through a bounded challenge or specific development goal. Structured sessions, mid-month check-ins, and full session documentation.

CORE

Sustained development across a full leadership growth cycle.

A six-month engagement covering the complete coaching process. The most common choice for new and middle leaders navigating transition, increased responsibility, or a significant leadership challenge.

EXTENDED

Long-term strategic partnership across a full school year.

A nine-month engagement providing sustained coaching support across an entire school year cycle. Designed for leaders navigating complex, evolving challenges or wanting to build deeply embedded leadership habits.

Engagements start from $2,500 + GST. Investment ranges are discussed during your clarity call and vary depending on the scope and duration of the engagement.
